model Go-Ped is the original. It has been around for 20 years, and has evolved
into the most popular motorized scooter available. As time has
gone on, minor modifications in the frame, deck, wheels, etc have
practically perfected the design. The result is a masterpiece of
both fun and practicality that is extremely reliable. The Sport
model is direct drive: the drive spindle (an extension off the
engine crankshaft) is in direct contact with the rear wheel. This
brilliantly simple design allows for many advantages - primarily
ease of use and simplicity. As the engine runs, the tire
spins, allowing the Sport Goped to provide maximum enjoyment and
years of problem-free operation. The engine is the CY GPL290
28.5cc 2-stroke, and is very reliable. It gets over 100 mpg, and
conforms to federal emission standards. The Sport Goped is great
for cruising the neighborhood, short commutes, recreation, and
