NEW ESP reed case replacement 36mm piston.
New high performance replacement piston for reed case engines. The piston replaces any reed case (Trevor Simpson, Bartalone, and OBR), piston that fit the Zenoah G290 4-bolt cylinder and have 2 additional transfer ports for the reed cylinder porting. This piston will also increase performance and reliability over any other reed case engine piston with several new features. All the work is done by Doug on a CNC mill for perfect dimensional repeatability and top craftsmanship.
It starts out as a stock Zenoah 36mm diameter G290 piston, then Doug @ ESP ads the following work.
1) 2 intake port hole windows are cut for the 2-port cylinders, cut with an upward flow to improve transfer port flow over the competition.
2) NEW--Inside of the piston is cut to be light weight, (several grams lighter than stock), and machined to perfection for improved acceleration.
3) NEW--Oil groves and oil holes on the intake side of the piston to greatly improve piston wear on the intake side of the piston for much better reliability for reed case engines.
Doug @ ESP recommends a very good oil, like Klotz Supertecniplate (syn oil with 20% Castor oil mixed in), or Motul Kart GP 2-t full synthetic/ester, and mixing the oil at 20:1 (6.4oz/gallon) for near stock reliability.
If replacing a 30.5cc reed case piston (2mm stroked crank), that Doug @ ESP built, you may need a piston made from the RCMK 36mm diameter piston, (A ESP preferred piston for the 2mm crank) , Contact Doug at ESP, and he can hook you up.
